With the Idol boys sorted, we flew down to Melbourne to shoot the Ramsay Street kids - Kyal Marsh, Ben Nicholas, Lara Sacher and Stephanie McIntosh. It was a chilly Monday morning when the gang turned up to the studios, but they were in good spirits.
Stephanie was excited to dress up as a rock chick with a mike stand. "This is fun!" she laughed. "My hair is big, which I'm not used to. It's good doing something out of your comfort zone." Stephanie is working on releasing her own CD and told us her music is edgy - "a little bit rock" - and, hopefully, something a bit different.
Next to be photographed was Lara, who was dressed in a sophisticated cocktail dress with straightened locks. It was all very Sarah Jessica Parker, which thrilled Lara, who said the Sex And The City star is her style icon. Lara really likes her naturally curly hair when it's straight. "It gives me a whole different look."
The boys had a ball playing around in the studio. Kyal stripped down to a singlet top and jeans, showing off his toned body. The gym enthusiast admitted he was happy when his character Boyd developed an interest in body building because he wanted to bulk up. He now works out four times a week. Kyal said he's very relaxed at photo shoots these days. "They're great fun. They're so easy; you just rock up, get changed and they put a bit of make-up on you. Then all you have to do is stand in front of the camera for an hour or so." Kyal's best mate, Ben, was last to be shot, dressed up in a formal suit and holding a bunch of flowers. "I do like wearing suits. I think I've got a bigger wardrobe than my mum and my sister!" he laughed.
