Trying to convince himself that he's in love, Boyd spends the night with young single mum Kayla this week. The next morning, Boyd (Kyal Marsh) drops a shock bombshell on Steph (Carla Bonner) and Max (Stephen Lovatt), who were planning to adopt Kayla's baby, Ashley. Boyd tells his father and stepmother that he and Kayla (Virginia Ryan) want to raise Ashley as their own! Of course Max and Steph are devastated. "This was a really hard decision for Boyd to make, but he feels he really does want to support Kayla," Kyal says. "He's giving up his whole life in making this decision. His heart is in the right place."
