Kids Enjoy Festive Sparkle by Mark Moor Herald Sun, Melbourne, Australia, 1st December 2005
A STARLIT treat brought smiles to the faces of young patients at the Royal Children's Hospital yesterday.
Neighbours stars teamed up with staff from the Christmas Cave decorations store to turn the RCH Starlight Express Room into a Christmas wonderland for hundreds of children too ill to leave the hospital.
Kyal Marsh and Nell Feeney, who play Boyd Hoyland and Janelle Timmins, spent hours doing up the room, which acts as a retreat for the hospital's sickest children.
Paul Rosenberg, director of the Christmas Cave chain, said he hoped the decorations made Christmas in the hospital a bit brighter.
"Christmas is a magical time, and that magic should reach into every part of Melbourne," he said.
