Busted Cheating Soap World, Australia, 17th July 2006
Max is adamantly refusing to accept that his son, Boyd, has married into the troublesome Timmins clan. Boyd has so much promise and many opportunities open to him but with a tag-along like Janae by his side, Max worries that he will abandon his plans of bcoming a doctor to play happy families with the smothering teen.
Despite being opposed to the young marriage, Steph and Janelle put their concerns to one side and attended the impromptu wedding to give their blessings. Max, on the other hand, was outraged by his son's defiant attitude and refused to go to the registry office ceremony.
Since then, Max has been searching for a way to unhinge the seemingly perfect partnership - surely there must be some long buried skeletons or scandalous secrets! Feeling as though he may have lost his young son forever, Max confides his fears in Steph. Max just can't understand why Boyd couldn't wait until he was a little older before making such a life-long commitment to someone he really doesn't know that well. After all, young love can come and go and the concerned father worries that if Janae's eye begins to wander, his son will be left heartbroken.
Max's fears for Boyd's future happiness soon come to life when Max catches his new daughter-in-law meeting with an unfamiliar man when she is supposed to be at school. The encounter sparks suspicions of infidelity as Janae talks flirtatiously to the interested man!
Convinced that Janae is being unfaithful, Max tells Steph what he has seen. He confides that he believes Boyd deserves to know the truth about his new wife, but he is unsure how he should divulge the shattering news. Taking the lead, Steph says that she will talk to Boyd and gently tell him that the love of his life is seeing another man! How will Boyd react to the stories of infidelity? Is this the end for Ramsay Street's newest couple?
