After violently trashing his room in the psychiatric hospital, Max tells Elle that he can't bear the thought of returning home in his current state. A deluded Max (Stephen Lovatt), who believes Elle (Pippa Black) is actually his wife, Steph (Carla Bonner) decides there's only one thing for him to do - disappear for good. Steph and her stepson, Boyd (Kyal Marsh), are devastated to discover that Max has left the hospital and walked out of their lives. "Max is convinced of his own mania because Elle has done such a good job on him," explains Stephen. "He thinks everyone is better off without him." Is this the last we'll see of Max?
