Desperate to save his future medical career, Boyd sets up an unwitting Katya. Boyd, who is studying to be a doctor, moves drugs - which were placed in his bag by his corrupt university lecturer, Dr Sally Herbert (Verity Charlton) - into Katya's bag. "Boyd had the drugs planted on him," explains Kyal Marsh, who plays Boyd. "He was trying to return the drugs, so he took them back to the hospital. Just as he's about to return them, some security officers enter and say they're going to do a search. He knows that if he does get searched he'll lose his job, his career - everything. Katya (Dichen Lachman) is in Boyd's bad books at the moment because of what happened between her and Boyd's father, Max (Stephen Lovatt). I don't think he deliberately wanted to get Katya in trouble, but, when it came down to it, he was desperate, and desperate times called for desperate measures."
And Katya's woes look set to deepen when her younger brother, Zeke (Matthew Werkmeister), uncovers a dark secret from her past. He's stunned when he spots Katya's photo in a raunchy magazine centrefold! "It's a bottomless pit pf dark secrets in Katya's past," Dichen says.
